[KYOTO GION] Maiko Performance @Zoom #2
First of all, we hope that you and your loved ones are doing well and that all of you are in good health. It had been a while since we connected last time, thank you for your patience.
We are pleased to announce our second English event with Gion Kobu Maiko happening on Saturday, October 24!
Do you remember that there are many traditional events celebrated all around the world?
Halloween is one of them and the time is approaching soon!
Have you already prepared for them? We are wondering what kind of Halloween will be this year...
In Japan, we also have a special tradition of dressing up, just like Halloween in other countries. But, of course it is Japanese way and as you could imagine that it is unique, and hard to imagine...
Japanese people wear costumes in February for Setsubun (chasing away evil spirits at the start of spring). It might be a little early, but we have decided to introduce this custom for this year’s Halloween. Because there is a strong resemblance with Halloween and we can unite our cultures through them.
This time, some of our content will be archived and available to view later for the convenience of guests who are concerned about their time zone. Please enjoy our event nevertheless.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at the ochaya of Kyoto's Gion Kobu.
After your buying tickets, you will gain access to the Watch Stream page for the event through ticket dashboard in your account, the order confirmation email as well as the event reminder email (sent automatically 24 hours before the start of the event).
You will need to login to the account you used to order their tickets to access the Watch Stream page.
If you enter the Zoom Webinar room via the Watch Stream page on October 24, 21:00 GMT+9, you can enjoy Maiko performance as an audience.
